Ms. McCarthy has more than 18 years’ experience in commercial aircraft investment and trading. She held senior positions at Pembroke Capital and AWAS before founding Tara Aviation Consulting in Shanghai in 2012, focused on providing aircraft investment and management services to Chinese lessors.
During this time, she was also Commercial Director at aircraft investment and finance advisory firm, Stratos.
She joined AMCK on her return to Dublin in 2015, where she was responsible for aircraft trading before moving to Castlelake in 2018 as Managing Director, Aircraft Trading.
In April 2021, she joined JP Morgan Asset Management as a Strategic Advisor.
Ms. McCarthy began her commercial career with Bank of Ireland before working with Ericsson Systems in international product marketing and management roles, based between Dublin and in Stockholm. She holds honours BA and MA degrees from University College Cork, two first class honours postgraduate Advanced Diplomas in Management and in International Marketing, and a Diploma in Negotiation and Competitive Decision Making from Harvard Business School. She speaks Spanish and French and has conversational Mandarin.
